Chaplaincy Program

The Grant County Sheriff's Chaplaincy's primary purpose is to provide and facilitate a Christian ministry to those who come in contact with the Grant County Sheriff's Office. Including, but no limited to, jail inmates, juvenile detainees, ex-offenders, law enforcement officers, civilian jailers, department staff, and their families, crime victims, and relatives of crime victims. Our ministry consists of chapel, juvenile chapel/bible studies, bible studies for male and female inmates, distribution of religious materials, spiritual counseling, and other programs designed to assist and equip offenders/ex-offenders and their families to become responsible and positive contributors in their communities, churches, and work place.

Our Mission: We exist to promote adult immigrants’ personal and professional success through one-on-one ESL instruction. English Connection is a collaboration between College Wesleyan Church, Taylor University students, and other community volunteers to teach English as a second language, one-on-one. Please feel free to contact us for more information or request a tutor at this link. We provide childcare for children ages 4 to 9 years old while you receive tutoring. Nuestro Misión: Existimos para promover el éxito personal y profesional de los inmigrantes adultos a través de la instrucción personalizada de Ingles. English Connection está gestionado por voluntarios basados principalmente fuera de la Universidad Taylor y Iglesia de College Wesleyan.
